We provide past exams in order to give you a sense of how exams and exam problems are structured. Please keep the following in mind:

Material covered, presentation norms, and design and style guidelines change over time, so that the solutions to the exam problems provided here should not be considered definitive for the current year’s practices, and might not even be granted full credit.
Solutions other than the ones provided in the solution sets here may also have been appropriate for full credit. A full discussion of the options and how they might be graded is not presented in these solution sets.
Staff are not able to answer questions of the form “How many points would such-and-such answer have received on the exam?”
